On the Road Again

we are two and a half hours from The Ridge Resort. We have two trucks pulling two trailer loads of goodies for the cabins. The weather is going to be cold, and the forecast shows around eight inches of snow. We left Texas at one and this time we are carrying our dogs also to check the property out. I was organized enough to have planned meals in case there is trouble getting out, We get to stay a whole week! Vacation to the Ridge! We have an awesome vintage bar I picked up on Marketplace, bar signs, bar stools, and many other items to start getting the "Outhouse" started. If I haven't mentioned it before, it will be a small tavern for our guests to enjoy while they are here. It will have a pool table, maybe a pinball machine, some type of Bluetooth jukebox and of course a mic to sing along. The bar is just the beginning. We have a new kitchen sink for Cabin#2 and microwave carts to put together for all. I have changed my mind on some decor, so that will need to be moved around. The pavilion bathrooms have new mirrors to be put up, shower Caddys, and maybe a paint job if time and travel permits. I wrote a blog about our December trip but must not have hit post, but it was a good trip, and a lot was accomplished. Some of our family and friends came and love it! Everyone pitched in and it was great. We have only paid bookings in August when the Eclipse will be over the area, but we are hopeful all of the hard work and effort will bring guests in. It is hard as a new lodging place to gain the trust from well-established places, but we are thinking this area rents primarily in the spring and summer months and that is when we will get a chance to prove ourselves to those guests that venture out to Marcella Arkansas. I have some great merch ordered and cant wait to put it out.
