It's coming together!

So I made it back to Arkansas this weekend and it was a productive trip. It is so hard to get anything accomplished when you only have twenty-four hours in this beautiful place. It is a 6-hour drive not counting refueling and stretch stops. Luckily my bestie is onsite now and getting herself acclimated to Ozark living. She moved here from Oklahoma for a fresh change-but that's another blog. She was able to get the a/c checked out and trash service started within the week besides all the many lists. The cabins are all rental ready and oh so cute. I stayed in Cabin#2 and tried out the new king bed and went to take a bath, but the hot water setting was turned down too low, so a problem found before guests arrive! It's always best to try out your own property to find those things. My main goal was to help get the mailbox set up, provide an expense account, and unload an array of products for the cabins: 3 charcoal grills, smoke/carb detectors, electrical supplies for some projects my husband has in store, soft blankets, post hole diggers, and of course the mailbox. One of the best products I brought was the Starlink package ready for installation. I can't wait to see how that works. Somehow in those 24 hours we also put one grill together and got more supplies from Home Depot. The store was giving away free pumpkins, so we decorated the new mailbox area too! Not bad for three women-two over 50 and one 21. Sunday morning my daughter and I stuck to our schedule and said our goodbyes to Deanna for the 6-hour trip back to Texas-after all we still have a regular job to report to on Monday. Everything is coming together, and it feels good!
