Arkansas in Winter

Updated: Apr 12, 2024

We are traveling to the Ridge this coming weekend and the weather report is in the teens...........brrrrrrr. We are pushing to drive Friday to miss the icy roads and snow because we are newbies for driving the curves of the Ozark Mountains especially in freezing temps. We have two more trailer loads with all types of decor, space saving microwave carts, a bar for the outhouse, new linens, towels, bar signs, mesh extenders for the Starlink, and the list goes on and on. The pavilion bathrooms are all working and have hot water! All cabins propane tanks have been topped off, and we will be working on fine tuning the cabins for Spring and summer as we anticipate that to be the hot rental times. The site has been getting some buzz and we are super excited to be back and this time for a week. The whole week shows temps in the teens and at least 3 inches of snow. I admit I am interested in seeing this because being from Texas, there has only been maybe three times in my lifetime to see snow for more than a day. I can't wait to take some great photos! Fortunately, my plans for this week required me to be inside putting decor up, assembling my new pieces, and getting updated pics for this site. We are also bringing our side by side to get down to the river bottom and creek at the property. I pray for safe traves for us and anyone else traveling, and to be cozy and warm.
